Here's a few recipies for Drinks that you must try! Especially to get you in the Jamaican state of mind.

Vodka Slush (Yummy!!!)
1 oz. vodka
1 oz. lime juice
1 oz. simple syrup
add ice, blend

Jamaican Rum Punch
1 oz.light rum
1 oz. overproof rum
2 oz. pineapple juice
2 oz. orange juice
2 oz. lime juice
strawberry syrup to taste


Purple Rain
1 oz. vodka
1/4-1/2oz. blue curacao
1/4-1/2oz. grenadine
1 oz. fruit syrup
1/4-1/2 oz. lime juice
add ice & blend

Dirty Banana (great as a desert drink!)
1 medium banana
1-1 1/2 oz. Tia Maria
table sugar to taste
milk or cream
add ice & blend

Hummingbird
1 medium banana
1 oz.Tia Maria
1 oz. rum cream
1 oz. vodka
strawberry syrup
milk or cream
add ice & blend

Jamaican Kiss
1 oz. Tia Maria
1 oz. light rum
1 tbs. cream

No Problem
1 oz. coconut rum
3/4 oz. creme de banana
1/2 oz. lime juice
1/2 oz. fruit juice
1 oz. pineapple juice
1 oz. grapefruit juice
1 oz.orange juice

Big Bamboo
1 oz. overproof rum
1oz.light rum
1/2oz. triple sec
1 oz. pineapple juice
1 oz.orange juice
1 oz. lime juice
3/4 oz. syrup
pour over ice

Negril Stinger
1 oz. gold rum
1/2 oz. Tia Maria

Sunset
1 oz wild orange liquer (triple sec or similar)
2 oz orange juice
1/4 oz strawberry syrup
1 oz coconut rum
1/4 oz lime juice

Piranah
3/4 oz dark rum
3/4 oz light rum
3/4 oz coconut rum
1/4 cup cranberry juice
1/4 cup pineapple juice
1/4 cup grapefruit juice
Cracked ice
Mix all the rums - mix all the juices - then combine all over ice


Delroy's Planters Punch
1 oz Appleton Special Rum
1 oz Pineapple juice
1 oz Orange juice
Dash of Bitters
Dash of lime juice

Shake well with ice and pour into glass. Drizzle a little strawberry syrup and Myers rum on top, but don't stir.

The Jamaican Kiss-alternate

1 oz Light Rum
1/2 oz Tia Maria
1 oz Milk
1/4 oz Sugar Syrup
Put all ingredients in mixing can.
Mix and serve - Crushed ice.


No Problem

1 oz Coconut Rum
1/2 oz Cherry Brandy
1 oz Orange Juice
1 oz Apple Juice
1/4 oz Lime Juice
1/4 oz Sugar Syrup
Put all ingredients in mixing can.
Serve over crushed ice.

Love Bird

1 oz Appleton White Rum
1/2 oz Gold Liqueur
2 oz Pineapple Juice
1/4 oz Lime Juice
1/4 oz Sugar Syrup
Mix and serve with Ice

Love Zone

1 oz Overproof Rum
1 oz Passion Fruit
1/4 oz Triple Sec
2 oz Pineapple Juice
1/4 oz Lime Juice
1/4 oz Clear Syrup
Mix and serve with crushed ice.

Jamaica Delight ( I Love These!!!)

1 oz Gold Rum
1/4 oz Apricot Brandy
2 oz Pineapple Juice
1/4 oz Lime Juice
1/4 oz Clear Syrup
Mix and serve in Pilsner

Tally Man

1 oz Light Rum
1 oz Dark Rum
2 oz Apple Juice
1/2 oz Honey
1/2 oz Lime Juice
Mix all ingredients and serve with crushed ice

Rumba

2 oz Dark Rum
1 oz Light Rum
1 oz Lime Juice
1 oz Gin
1 oz Lemon Juice
2 Dashes Grenadine
Shake well and strain into a tall glass. Top with soda water and serve with slice of lemon and lime


Flaming Bob Marley - FBM

1 half shot of Grenadine
1 half shot of Creme de Menthe
1 shot of Rum
Pour the Grenadine into an apertif glass, then slowly pour the Creme de Menthe so as not to mix the two. The Creme de Menthe should "sit" atop the Grenadine. Using the same technique, slowly pour the rum in so you have Red on the bottom, then Green, then Gold (or Yellow). Once you have all three ingredients in the glass, light the rum with a match, quickly insert a straw to the bottom and suck the whole thing down quickly.


Jamaican Waterslide
2 parts Malibu Coconut Rum
2 parts Bacardi Limon Rum
2 parts pineapple juice
2 squeezes fresh lime juice (no, you cannot use Rose's-it's too sweet)

Serve straight up, on the rocks, or as a body shot.


Homemade Tia Maria
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
1-1/3 c rum
1 Tbsp vanilla extract
4 tsp instant coffee
Dissolve sugar in boiling water, covered;
let cool to room temperature, and add the rest of ingredients. Let stand several days before consuming.

Use real vanilla extract, not imitation!


Fruit syrup can be made by mixing 1/2 cup of sugar with 1/2 cup of water and bring to a rapid boil. Simmer for a minute or two and let cool. Makes 3/4 cup syrup.
