April 1st thru June 30th
is Lobster mating season. Catching, selling and cooking live lobsters are prohibited. Many restaurants stock up and freeze
lobsters for this season.
May thru August-
Sea bathers eruption caused by exposure to Thimble jellyfish
larvae. Peaks in May and June. To help cut down on the risk of exposure, shower immediately after swimming, preferably
without your bathing suit. Use of cortisone creams and anti-histamines may help. Clears within 2 weeks.

July 1st thru October 30th is Conch mating
season. Catching, cooking, and selling of conch is prohibited. Again many restaurants stock up and freeze conch before the
seasons end for such occasion. Fresh is much better for both Lobster and Conch.
